I hope you are well. This is just to keep you informed that this patient has done exceedingly well with your care for arthritis in the right hip. Normally my feeling is that physiotherapy does not markedly help arthritic changes in the right hip, but you have made it work for him. When I saw him in July, we both agreed not to do anything surgical, and you keep an intermittent eye on him. I will see him again in six months’ time, and if his pain becomes worse with night pain and a limited walking distance, I will take him on for a hip replacement.
I thought I would just let you know, and also I look forward to seeing you in the clinic, as we have mutually discussed and is long overdue.
